OMG! A Queensryche fan who also like BSG!

Where do you live? PLEASE say central Maine!

For me, the need or desire to belong and make a difference: The whole Operation: MINDCRIME album.

Just everyday in and outs: (here's a hint)

"And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take"

Mad World (Gary Jules version)

Also for me (aside from the QR above by Deacon):

"Missing" -Evanescence
"Nothing Ever Goes as Planned" -Styx
"Millennium main title theme"
"Boadicea" -Enya
"Doll Parts" -Hole
"Evolution" -Korn
"Cool Change" -Little River Band
"Learning to Fly" -Pink Floyd
"Disarm" -Smashing Pumpkins
"Schism" -T00L

SUPER STEVE

I only act and speak as I feel
Their world so enigmatic and unreal

We've got some freak potential
but that's just great
it makes us who we are,
molding our mental state

it feels so fragile our web of dreams
yet you could not break its truth
nor tear its seams

Don't look so skeptic when
you turn your eyes to me
Sometimes a hero ain't
what you've seen on TV

The fire, it knows me and
I can walk through the blaze without a mark
forever it owes me the life
I lost in the dark
The higher it takes me the more
I'm able to reach outside the walls
of our perception
and grab a piece for us all

some flaws are character, wear your crown!
come brother me
and all illusions will fall down

Don't Sell Me Short, by Bad Religion
(Not all lyrics shown)

Like a mystery that's here to stay
Some people never go away
Cuz they've got something to say

Don't sell me short!
You've been wrong too long
Don't brush me off
Just because I don't belong
Like it or not I'm all you've got,
Dispose me when I'm shot
Just don't sell me short,
I might not be who you thought

Don't sell me short!
You've been wrong too long
Don't brush me off
Just because I don't belong
Pass me on by, ignore my cry,
Forget me when I die
Just don't sell me short,
Not while I am still alive

Everybody's talking about heaven on earth,
I'm still trying to figure out just what I'm worth
I'm full of emotions and stuff you can't contain,
And you just want to flush me down the drain...

But you can't me go away!

Another one...

Epic Problem, by Fugazi
(Again, not all lyrics shown)

I've got this epic problem
This epic problem is not a problem for me
And inside, I know I'm broken
But I'm working, as far as you can see

And outside, it's all production
It's all illusion, a set scenery
I've got this epic problem
This epic problem is not a problem for me

almost anything really. any sad song or love song applies if you mix up the pronouns (which my head does anyway)
i listened to an Avril Lavigne album the other day, and felt the whole thing related to Aspie, if I/you are used interchangably. almost any genre i can find meaning in. lots of Nirvana, and lots of Jack off Jill for me, and lots of punk music with "authority" meaning the general voice of "society."

dream theater - solitary shell
I know it's been said already, but it's actually how I found out about aspergers. I was addicted to them before I heard this song... best band ever? :D
songs which deal with romantic suckiness:
weezer - perfect situation
the white stripes - a martyr for my love to you

Deeper Down by My Dying Bride
(Thats really not a good thing)
Another song that I have related to pretty well is Nobody Hears by Suicidal Tendencies.
I dont think its ever a good thing if you can relate to any ST or MBD song.

European Son by the Velvet Underground. Not the lyrics, however--everything seems to be going fine and harmoniously and then abruptly everything is overwhelming and it takes forever for myself to become settled again; this is when the song ends.

"How soon is now" by The Smiths. Could be a true aspie anthem. It would not surprise me if god, sorry I mean Morrissey, has some aspie traits himself (not to say he is an aspie - I am not a therapist after all). Lot of Smiths songs have an aspie feeling and deal with themes such as being misunderstood and loneliness.

I am the son and the heir of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
How can you say I go about things the wrong way?
I am human and I need to be loved
just like anybody else does

There is a club you would like to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go and you stand on your own
and you leave on your own
and you go home and you cry and you want to die

When you say it's gonna happen NOW
Well when exactly do you mean?
See I'm already waiting too long
And all my hope is gone

Also, a few songs about disorders often existing in combination with AS:

Echo & The Bunnymen - With a hip
Echo & The Bunnymen - Crocodiles
Echo & The Bunnymen - Back of love
Sisters of Mercy - Alice
(all about OCD)

Green Day - Basket case
(about anxiety disorder)

Stories For Boys by U2

There's a place I go when I am far away
There's a TV show where I can grow
Sometimes a hero takes me
Sometimes I don't let go
Hello, hello

There's a picture book with coloured photographs
There's a comic strip which makes me laugh
Sometimes away he takes me
Sometimes I don't let go
Hello, hello

Stories for boys, stories for boys
Stories for boys, stories for boys
Stories for boys

There's a place I go and it's a part of me
There's a radio and I will go
Sometimes a hero takes me
Sometimes I don't let go
Hello, hello

Stories for boys etc..

A song by Blur

When he speaks to her
Without looking at her
Using the driest of words
With his mind on whats on the telly

The rumors pass on
As he staggers through the air
Knowing he won't get home
To the world of people and cars alone

Doo-doo-doo
