Karma Police-Radiohead

A Warm Place off of The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails is the only song I can remember that actually brought tears to my eyes and I was rather unhappy at the time. Other songs that have 'moved' me at some point are Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, Polaroids of Polar Bears by Alexisonfire, Time Machine by Kevin Hearn & Thin Buckle, and High and Dry and Subterranean Homesick Alien by Radiohead.

The first time that I heard this song, I cried for about 30 minutes.

My husband and I often feel completely isolated from the world (I'm officially aspie and he's completely in denial and our child is autistic). We literally have to do everything on our own and by ourselves because no one can understand the three of us.

We've abandoned and been abandoned by family that we couldn't relate to and who wouldn't try to understand us.

He's the only person who has ever "gotten" me---who still thinks that I'm perfect after all of these years.

There's this song about a guy who's wife dies in a car crash that played on the oldies station when I was going to high school in Colorado.

I recently heard this (LINK) song on the radio and found it really moving. Too bad they haven't played it again. It's called "The Funeral" by "Band of Horses". Debating whether I should buy the album just for that one song.

Also lots of stuff by "Godspeed You! Black Emperor" strikes me as extremely sad and lonely.

The only song that makes me cry is I'll Cover You (reprise) from RENT.

One song that practically makes me choke up with great tears every time is the song... "Forward you Witnesses."

The reason it causes me to feel so much grief is because its such a powerful song with such incredible lyrics... but most importantly of all, because it was composed by one of Jehovah's Witnesses while he was in a Nazi concentration camp, as a sort of spiritual protest against the Nazi Regime. I might make a video of me singing it, if you could stand it, that is. The lyrics go like this:

"Where the moss slowly grows" by Tiger Army

It makes me think of a friend's 10-month-old son, Oaks, who drowned. That was the hardest funeral that I have ever attended. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.
