Yes, I see your point there. Statements like, "Manipulating others is a good way to get what you want," can be taken two ways. You could interpret "good" as "effective", or "good" as "worthwhile" or "moral". I agree that successful manipulation can be rather effective, but that doesn't mean I think it is either worthwhile or moral, because I want the people around me to make their own decisions and I would feel very bad if I thought I had forced them to do something they did not want to do. So how would I answer a question like that? It needs to be re-phrased. I would think something like, "I manipulate others because it is an effective way to get what I want," would be a better statement. Or, in the opposite direction, "I would not like to manipulate others, even if it was an effective way to get what I wanted."

Narcissism 1
Machiavellian 2.1
Psychopathy 1.4

I don't see how so few questions, self reported at that, could really capture these things accurately.

It won't load me test results. It just is stuck on the circle spinning thing.

I think results this low are probably correlated with poor functioning in normal primate societies:

Narcissism 0.6 1%
Narcissism is an egotistical preoccupation with self.

Machiavellianism 1.6 11%
Machiavellianism is a tendency to be manipulative and deceitful.

Psychopathy 0.6 1%
Psychopathy reflects shallow emotional responses.

^ Yours and mine are kind of what I would have expected the aspie stereotype to be, and a contributing factor in why we often aren't successful in the wild, where a stronger dose of those traits is actually favored. But clearly there is variation within the aspie population as well.

Narcissism: 1 (3rd percentile)
Machiavellianism: -1 (0 percentile)
Psychopathy: 0.3 (0 percentile)

Wow these scores are low. Is it really so rare to not look at others as tools for your own gain? Many of the statements on the test were repulsive to me and it's scary to think that's the way a lot of people think.

This was an interesting test. I scored:

Trait Score Percentile
___________________________________
Narcissism 0.1 (0 percentile)

Machiavellianism 0.3 (0 percentile)

Psychopathy 0 (0 percentile)

At first I was worried by the way that the results were explained - thanks to previous poster's here, I get it now.

(Edit - trying to correct table formatting)

I guess that I'm contrite, and not especially, mentally-blind. To me, it seemed obvious, where the questions where headed.

I wasn't interested in anon sex, for graphic reasons, which I will not discuss in polite company.

I have no immediate plans to harm anyone, physically, or cause property damage.

Other than that, 100% jerkish. Literally, I can see the 100's.

My results:

Narcissism: 1.3 (7%)
Machiavellianism: 0.7 (1%)
Psychopathy: 0 (0%)

So nothing concerning at all.

Weird, I got much higher results on the first one that I took because the linked isn't working, than when I got the link to work. :? http://personality-testing.info/tests/S ... .7,1.3,0.4
Open Source Psychometrics Project
The test is complete. Be prudent about sharing your results, the dark triad traits are loaded subjects.

Here is table of your results (scores are between 0 and 4). The percentile is what percent of other people who have taken this test you score higher than.
1.3/7 Narcissism Not to suprised about this really.
0.7/1 Machiavellianism
0.4/0 Psychopathy
You scored 35% Machiavellianism, 18% Narcissism, 18% Psychopathy!
What a contradication. I don't exhibit any traits of sociopathy.
