I was watching Call the Midwife this afternoon. During the funeral scene at the end, all the characters were able to keep it together and I was crying my eyes out. I guess that's the difference between Englanders and Germans.

There's also McVitie's Fruit Shortcake Biscuits which are basically currant biscuits. I daren't buy them because they're made of white flour and have way too much sugar, and if they're around I can't stop eating them. Dad used to call them dead fly biscuits.

The British won the war because they were able to keep calm and carry on. The Germans on the other hand were all crying into their hankies at the end of it all.
