Mostly right-wing. However, I hate neo-conservatism and the attitudes that many of them have, like ignoring the reality of oil-depletion and the general lack of principles. I have some beliefs that would be considered right and others that would be considered left. Who cares? Why label myself, the left-right spectrum is very limiting and didn't even exist before the French Revolution.

where's the option for us Independents? you know, the ones who are hoping for a third party to step up and take action, since the current two parties seem to give more a s**t about making themselves look good to their own party, rather than actually doing what's right for the country?

Independent Extremist; I'm waiting for a third party candidate to get elected and then wipe out politics and demand we start over. :P

Seriously, now that I know what it is, I'd have to say Extremist. The current way of doing things is fiailing miserably.

im sure there are many people out there who would prefer a third party, but still just vote for one of the current parties because of the belief that they would be "wasting their vote by voting for someone who would likely get very few votes". i think even if a third party politician would get 10% of the vote, it could boost a reputation for future third party candidates, and eventually in years to come perhaps they would get a major place in the final elections and even though it may seem like a far shot: actually gain a place in leadership (maybe even presidency!).

Lewis Black had the right idea.

What I am going to say may irritate and incite some people. The reason why it often incites, is because of the associative nature that people have. The past implementation of this system in its initial stages, was exceedingly effective in governing a nation, however, it was later distorted and abused. I do not agree with any previous incarnations of this political system, although it should be noted that I praise the literal translation of the political definitions inherent in its name.

I am a staunch advocate of National Socialism.

This means that I believe in Nationalist values for encouraging a populace and cementing cultural and social identity, while advocating base tenets of Socialism, involving a belief that vital industry should be nationalised (exclusively in most cases), while allowing for and encouraging the free market in the sphere of luxury goods and trade.

Primarily you will find me debating against Communists and Libertarians. While not a centrist, I do believe that these two spheres of thought are too extreme.

I look forward to adding to the discussions on this board.

You say you are a nationalist. I *usually* associate nationalism with intolerance of those who do not espouse the creed of those identified as belonging, or the ethnicity, or whatever social/political values the speaker sees as appropriate. I hope that isn't the case. Shared history and culture is great, exclusion and bigotry is not.

Shared history is great. Exclusion is not. I fully agree.

When a people immigrate to another nation, both peoples should engage in a sharing of cultural heritage and beliefs. However, I have issues when minority communities segregate themselves within another country, creating a microcosm of culture that does not freely interact with the overall nation. People sometimes immigrate to escape a war-torn society, or because job prospects and financial/social benefits are better in the new land. However, when they drink of these benefits while practising a form of isolation, I am inclined to dislike their actions and disapprove of the members of their culture and people who endorse this socio-economic segregation.

In turn, a nation's majority isn't justified in such segregation, either.

I'm tending to be extremist lately. Politics in its current form is outdated and is not relevant to the conflicting needs of human society.

Whilst humans insist on trying to segregate themselves physically yet try to globalise economically and socially, failure is inevitable.

Maybe its time to globalise the government!

I tend to not care what happens politically speaking. Either they don't screw my life up personally, or they will screw everyones lives up, and other people who care about politics might learn from this.
