Actually, I'm addicted to LARP'ing (live-action roleplaying) - I'm quite familiar with, and love, the tactic of going out there as someone other than yourself. Once I even faked a public screaming meltdown under the guise of losing the last of my sanity points in Call of Cthulu Live. What gets me here is not understanding the humor that drives the performance. Near-impossible to fake from an anxious state using pure logic. So I'm trying to slowly accustom myself to the idea of flowing with the humor in public, so I can do it on a gut-intuitive level without getting swamped by various ghosts/overloads.
