I am not satisfied with them either...recently I got a couple of sports bras, I am not into sports or anything but I heard somewhere they are comfortable and most don't have wires so I got a couple and they work pretty well, and are pretty comfortable...may main concern is they have a lot of fabric like I feel I could almost get away with wearing one as a work-out top or something. So not sure how that will be when it really gets hot out...so I would like to find some with better ventilation for when it gets hot. But yeah I am thinking sports bras may be the way to go, but I also really hate bras with the wire I mean I've been wearing like -preteen style bras for the past 10 years because they don't have wires.

I used to live in the monsoonal tropics, and I found the tank top bras fine. Cotton. A loose singlet over the top, the advantage being that you can show more of your "bra" as it just looks like an inner singlet. Some of them have mesh bits too.

Oh, and the other advantage is that they really double well as a pocket, it's hard for things to fall out of 'em.

I need a bra for support. But i hate wires, hooks and inadequate support and comfort. So i stick to mostly sports bras. They don't have wires, hooks... fabrics are breathable, too.

I don't like bras but don't hate them either. Although I never tried a sports bra until recently. I got one that's pretty comfortable, but oh gosh trying to get it on and off is so hard. I feel like I'm gonna hurt my shoulders or something. Next time I will buy one with regular closure so I don't have to fight it so much.

I usually take them off once I get home. Although now I have teenage sons sometimes I'll wear one through dinner. It's important to pick out some with nice soft fabric, no rough seams and no lace next to your skin. I really don't like lace and frilly decorations. Once I got one with the "eyelash lace" all over the edges and I cut them all off, ha ha.
