1. Auditory Processing Difficulties (The "huh" syndrome, annoys people rather quickly)
2. Absentmindedness/Forgetfulness
3. Special Interests (may not seem that apparent on the surface, but I actually spend a lot of effort to distance myself from them as much as possible)
4. Social Awkwardness (perhaps not as apparent because I am very well spoken, according to others)
5. Sensory Sensitivities (sensory overload causes my sleep difficulties, which is another huge consequence of my AS)

There are many more... it's hard to rank them because they affect my life to different degrees depending on the situation.

A lot of things are interrelated, so I'm not sure if I should group them together or list them separately. I think I'll group them.

1. Social issues (nonverbal cues, lack of interest in socializing, inability to relate to other people, difficulty translating thoughts into spoken words, etc.)
2. Executive dysfunction (too many related to this to list)
3. Sensory issues (visual and auditory, migraines)
4. Obsessions
5. Stimming

I'm not sure if the last 2 should be switched. Both of them are things I didn't realize I did until it was pointed out to me that I do. Now that I'm aware of them, I'm not sure which is more severe.

1. Social- I think we had a thread on this, but I understand body language by definition. I know what certain things mean, but I cannot process why people are saying one thing and extracting a different body language. Especially when to much information is thrown into the mix as well. But I also am not comfortable socializing with people other than those close in the family. I always feel awkward and silly outside.

2. Stimming- Like someone mentions a somewhat stim. Books use to be my special interest, I still love books, but I really am craving somewhere new and different, somewhere exciting. As well as education I get bored in college when it comes to the casual and normal classes I took in high school I feel as if I am not bettering myself to something more if I am not taking classes with information I do not know.

3. A Need for a routine- Like many people around here I need a routine. I really hate spur of the moment trips. And everything I am going to do is planned weeks in advanced. And I always repeat the schedule to over and over in my head. And I get upset when things are not scheduled and it ruins my routine when spontanous things happen in the routine because it is not how I imagined it.

4. Change- I desperately hate change. Like recently a forum updated and changed it's webskin. To some people that isn't a big deal, but to me it's a complete and total big deal. I do not like when things I have gotten comfortable with change. I do not like sudden changes and I do not like spur of the moment of changes.

5. Meltdowns- This is the lowest on my list because I seem to get less overwhelmed about stuff. Generally my metldowns have to mean my environment is extremely overwhelming. Generally these are areas that trigger my sensitivies or annoyance levels. And they usually are during when I lack enough energy, such as after a 3hr class I am completely done socially. I want nothing to do with the social world after being in class for 3hrs.

1: social skills... I have very bad small talk skills with strangers. I also get nervous when I have
to talk to strangers more than a few seconds.
2: routine... I feel the need to plan everything out and don't like it when something changes
3: special interests.... If I'm focused on something, interrupt me at your own risk!
4: eye contact.... Getting better at sustaining eye contact during a conversation, but it's still
pretty uncomfortable
5: Stimming... my fingers are always moving. If I have something in my hand it gets twirled in the air or balanced on it's end.
