I have a CD with all of John Williams's best music. If you don't know who he is, he wrote the music for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, E.T., Harry Potter, Superman, and loads more. His music is fantastic.

I also think the Billy Elliot soundtrack is pretty good.

John Williams is definitely a master. Jurassic Park had one of the best themes I've heard in any movie. My favorite movie soundtrack ever has to be Hans Zimmer's work on The Thin Red Line. Some of the pieces from that are amazingly brilliant.

Oh and Kill Bill! It takes guts to dredge up an obscure late 70's disco tune for the climactic fight scene, but somehow Tarantino pulled it off. Genius :D

I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have watched it over abd over in one sitting. My best friend has the cd. When she is drinking and she puts on the Rocky Horror soundtrack I know she is going to pass out in about an hour. It always happens. Shes funny.

I also like the Harold And Maude soundtrack which is all Cat Stevens. It is also my all time favourite movie!!

I also really like the Resivour Dogs soundtrack although I have not seen the movie yet. I like the coconut song.

Nah- I'd much prefer Spike, Angel (but obviously bad Angel not the sappy vamp with a soul version) or even better both

Toy Story 2 has "When Somebody Loved Me" by Randy Newman
Shrek has "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen
And the soundtrack to The Big Easy was great in a spicy cajun kind of way.
What have I forgotten - oh yeah, just about every James Bond film.

Only joking. The Belly of an Architect and Fargo both get my vote.

Ghost in the Shell - Kenji Kawai
Conan the Barbarian - Basil Poledouris
Most stuff by Ennio Morricone.

I liked these soundtracks because i most of the songs are good in their own right. I hate soundtracks which include every single music cue in them, and the same tracks are repeated over and over.
