Sorry, but I don't believe the average death row inmates would make proper study subjects. However they will make excellent organ donors, in most cases. Keeping them suspended and comatose long enough to prepare the recipients should be no problem and any delays would be easier to manage with mostly working body functions. It's not about rehabilitation of a murderer, it's about justice and punishment and forfieture of your rights if you take another's life. The problem of proving guilt beyond the shadow of doubt still remains, though. Yes, I'm serious about this one, too.
