Congrats, Mark. Seriously, I'm proud of you.

As for shoes -- you'll find me comparing guys' Nikes to see which ones I like best. I'm not a shoe person, other than making sure I wear what's appropriate for the outfit or occasion. I'm too much of a tomboy still, I guess. Sure, I wore dress-shoes that went with the dress I wore to my brother's wedding a couple months ago, but I don't wear dresses, skirts, etc. if I can help it. I'm happy in a polo or button-up collared shirt with my cargo pants and black steel-toed Stanley sneaks for work.

Someone stop me before I pun again! Do I dare "tread" in such territory? I can be such a "heel".

I just hope no one will "lace" me up for these bad puns. Or give me the "boot" from this site.

Please someone for goodness sake stop me! lol

I understand you somewhat, but why would you pass judgment about someone if they are fat. As long as they are decent people, that's what matters.

I know three people who are getting married very soon. I don't know much about one of them, but I can tell you about the other two.

One is 22 years old right now. She has a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, and she is currently a graduate student at the biggest school in our area working towards being a literacy specialist.

The other is 24 years old right now. She has a Bachelor's degree in psychology, went through training to be a guidance counselor and is now the head of the Guidance department at a local high school in our area.

Now, I'll tell you something. They are both very decent people, and if they heard what you had to say, they would not be very happy.

How do you get your feet into the pair without holes?

OK, maybe I opened a can of worms with my rambling about having to shop for shoes. I meant to say that my future wife will make me do things she wants to do (and shoe shopping just might be one of them). Not only that, she'll drag me with her, and accuse me of not loving her if I refuse to come along. At the same time, she'll completely brush off my interests and things I like. Now who needs that sh*t? I'm never getting married for as long as I live!

...Me? I could definitely use someone who'd be interested in shopping for shoes and clothes.

A rather huge generalisation, there. Believe it or not, some women actually exist who don't think husbands should be forced into shoe shopping, make illogical accusations, or brush off their husbands' interests. For a start, for me to ever behave like that would require a vicious blow to the head or a brain transplant.

On the subject of shoes - I have one 'smart' pair for work and random formal occasions, one pair of walking boots, and another pair of boots for formal occasions when the weather is too cold for my other smart pair. I've always disliked shoe shopping, and the only time I can stand to do it is when I don't need a new pair of shoes. (That way there's no worry about failure, and no pressure to succeed.) I also dislike the smell of shoe shops and see spending money on non-essential shoes as wasteful, so it's something I tend to very rarely do.

... why the hell would you marry someone like that in the first place?
