OK, maybe I opened a can of worms with my rambling about having to shop for shoes. I meant to say that my future wife will make me do things she wants to do (and shoe shopping just might be one of them). Not only that, she'll drag me with her, and accuse me of not loving her if I refuse to come along. At the same time, she'll completely brush off my interests and things I like. Now who needs that sh*t? I'm never getting married for as long as I live!
A rather huge generalisation, there. Believe it or not, some women actually exist who don't think husbands should be forced into shoe shopping, make illogical accusations, or brush off their husbands' interests. For a start, for me to ever behave like that would require a vicious blow to the head or a brain transplant.
On the subject of shoes - I have one 'smart' pair for work and random formal occasions, one pair of walking boots, and another pair of boots for formal occasions when the weather is too cold for my other smart pair. I've always disliked shoe shopping, and the only time I can stand to do it is when I don't need a new pair of shoes. (That way there's no worry about failure, and no pressure to succeed.) I also dislike the smell of shoe shops and see spending money on non-essential shoes as wasteful, so it's something I tend to very rarely do.
