I am somewhere between light and moderate...
It's true that most people wouldn't guess I have AS - they dismiss it as introversion or social awkwardness. I have strong interests that pretty much define who I am (artist, writer, future psychologist :)) It is very hard for me to be in public and act normal, though much of that could be attributed to my social phobia. Others usually initiate conversations, and I go along with them. If I'm in an interesting conversation with a close friend, it's easier for me to speak, but I'm still uncomfortable. Facial expressions usually aren't a problem for me, but understanding others' intentions can be an issue.

Is it true that a big sign of AS is getting songs stuck in your head all the time? I definitely have this one. My senses get overwhelmed easily, especially auditory.

I'm somewhere between light and moderate. The problem for me is that I have some symptoms that are more severe than others, and social functioning isn't really the worst for me. Most people, except for my really close friends, either don't notice or have an easy time brushing it off. When I'm alone, though, it's probably more obvious. In cases when I'm overstimulated, I can also start to lose my ability to completely control the social symptoms that I do have, which is a real problem :?

Based on those descriptions I would say I'm well in Moderate overall but with a sever learning difference but that's somewhat related to dyslexia & ADHD & having low vision(I heard over 75% of school learning is visual)

By the criteria listed at the start of the thread, somewhere between light and moderate. Really good social people can tell usually, if I try to act normal most people can't. I don't like acting normal though, I prefer me as myself.

I would say light. My job has me working with people the whole time, so I've quickly learned to deal with people. However, I know I'm not as friendly to customers as my coworkers are. Then again, I doubt the customers really care, they're more worried about me assigning them to a computer so they can get their schoolwork done or browse Facebook.

Probably light. I have been described as being very high functioning several times, and also sociable recently. I do struggle with social interactions, and sensory issues but probably not to the extent that strangers would generally notice. It tends to be people who know me, or professionals familiar with autism that notice anything.

I picked severe, but am probably somewhere between your definitions of moderate and severe.

I'd say I'm either light or moderate. People do comment on my odd behaviour but they generally write it off as being aloof, nerdy or both.

I do stim by stamping my right foot a bit but I generally don't get nervous enough around people for it to happen anyway, and it's usually only when I'm sitting down. The only thing that really gets me nervous is giving presentations, and really that gets most people I know to become anxious, is something done standing up so it doesn't really show to other people.

I don't think anyone really reads me as 'neurotypical' but, as far as my terrible ability to 'read' people socially tells me, they don't think of me as necessarily autistic or anything either.

My autism is very, very mild. I am in an autistic unit at school, but I never really get any support, unlike other people in the unit. I can socialise, but sometimes it's difficult.
When I visited mainstream schools around the area where my special school was, my teacher told me that the teachers from those schools said they did not think I was autistic when they gave feedback.
Also, I got a very low AQ score on the test, although that's really an unofficial measure.

It wasn't always like this, though. If I was to take the test 7 years ago, I would be classed as 'very severe'.

I have mild Asperger's, so I picked light. I can hardly make eye contact, and when I do, I can only maintain it for a few seconds. I also experience sensory overload quite often, but I usually just plug my ears when it happens. I'm also terrible in social situations, but most people just think I'm shy.
