Most people I've encountered in "the real world" are weak in one way or another. Superheroes don't let me down. I know that every month Superman, Flash, Spider-Man and the rest will be waiting for me at the comic shop...and they'll be doing what's right.

My father spent years letting me down, my "best friend" seems to let me down more and more - Superman doesn't let people down.

Sure, there's Kryptonite (and I guess most "real people" have a weakness too), but he's supremely physically and mentally powerful...like I wish we could all be. I wish people didn't get ill or hurt...and that we could always do the right thing, no matter what temptation.

I know he gets some criticism for being "too good" and for people not being able to relate to him, but that's part of what I like...he's just everything we should aspire to be like.

Because we can relate to the superheroes and even the villains. The characters always have something different about themselves that makes them unique, intelligent, and advanced enough to do something far greater than an ordinary person. I like X-Men because I can relate to the mutants feeling different from society, and plus the action and the art is great.

I can't type for anyone else but I look to superheroes because I often feel helpless and superheroes have the capability to do something about the bad things that happen all around them.
Personally I relate to Magneto who was a helpless victim as a child and grew up to be one of there most powerful mutants in the world, also as i learned more about him I can't help but think he might be right and if I was a mutant I would reluctantly side with him.

I don't read comics or watch a lot of movies, but I do like superhero cartoons. I even once went through a phase where I'd been watching one and then thought of my own kind of characters - I still do that sometimes even now.
I remember when I used to watch a lot of cartoons they don't show anymore.

Oh, and I just had to say this - I have Aspergers, NOT Autism!!

I was so into Comics, I opened a store on two occasions, for some reason I don't enjoy Superhero movies at all, and since I am no longer in the industry don't follow new stories in the genre.
