Hi INTJ

Congrats on finding love. Just wondering what you think an ISFJ brings to a relationship that makes him compatible with an INTJ like yourself.

Yeah, I haven't really thought about it yet. I quess I'll find out sooner or later, we just decided yesterday that we are now officially dating. We are not totally sure if we actually are compatible. At least we both need our space. I must say that I fell for him as soon as I got to talk to him one on one.

I don't know. I thought this whole personality types thing was sort of a quack...

I'm not sure that MBTI is perfect. I suppose it's a bit confusing.

But self-appointed scientists tend to hate it because it gives fuzzy returns. 1+1 is a simple problem and always produces the same answer. But "are you introverted or extraverted" is not simple, and your answer might even change with your mood.

In my opinion, though, the self-appointed scientists are missing the point that MBTI is trying to measure things for which there are no non-fuzzy tests.

They advocate a different metric which only measures very basic psychological attributes. Whereas the MBTI goes much deeper.

All I can really say is that I've read all 16 type profiles, and only one fits me well. I'm an INFP. Notice how well that describes someone who would simultaneously acknowledge and dismiss the technical criticisms of MBTI.

OP, there are a LOT of INTJ's on the internet. I almost think that the majority of message board and chatroom users are INTJ. If not, they are at least the most common group to announce their type in those venues.

I consistently test out as INTJ. I told a co-worker this and I saw her kind of shrink back a little bit. (all my co-workers are former counselors) She's very emotional and I think she views this as a bad combination, but I make every effort to consider the impact of pretty much everything I do, mostly because of the demographic I work with. We haven't had any problems so far.

I found it confusing, too; a lot of the questions I found to be vague/not-so 'clear cut', and many of them could mean different things- when applied to different situations i.e. the question, "You willingly involve yourself in matters which engage your sympathies".

INTJ is a personality-type based on Meyer-Briggs research on the topic. There can be found many personality-tests online who tells you what type you are. Yes, a man kan also be an INTJ, I actually think it is more common for men to have this personality-type.

I'm also an INTJ. I am married to an INTP (both aspies).

To know more about MBTI
Check http://personalitycafe.com , there is a topic where people of certain personalities are interacting and posting videos on youtube: http://personalitycafe.com/myers-briggs ... ideos.html

Also I recommend to read "Please Understand me II" by David Keirsey.

Yes, possibly, since it is a more science- and system-based personality. Ties in with that Simon Baron-Cohen theory that everybody loves to hate ;)

I'm INTJ too. I'm not sure about my husband. He's very like me, just much more organised and less of a worrier.

INTJ
is generally compatible with
ENFP

But for aspies INTJ + INTP might be the best match.
