I like to read, though admittedly not as much as I used to. My concentration is completely shot now so it takes me twice as long to finish a book as it used to, and it's kind of put me off.

I love to read. I use to be able to sit for long periods and read, but now days my attention span is lacking and only read in short bursts. I blame it on the internet.

For the most part, though, I like to read and I enjoy thought-provoking, philosophical contemporary literature. Tim O'Brien and Chuck Palahniuk are some current favorite authors.
I agree about Gatsby! We had that shoved down our throats for college English class, and to this day I haven't the slightest desire to pick it up and read it ever again! :x
