Quick question for those of you who live either in north west England, Ireland or the Isle of Man: what's the name of the Irish station on 252? Is it RTÉ? My taxi driver says it's a good laugh when they have Irish politicians on as they give them a right good going over. :)

I like JackFM and LastFm, and sometimes KROCK, but that's about it.

Either of these two quite religiously while online.

http://www.wfmu.org/wfmu.pls One of the oldest continuously freeform format radio stations in the USA, broadcasting from East Orange, NJ (NYC area)

http://www.wmbr.org/WMBR_live_128.m3u College radio station for the Massachusetts Institute of Technolgy, Cambridge, MA (About 1 mile from Kenmore Square in Boston)

There is really no good radio in Columbia, SC, where I live.

I used to listen to The Slaghuis Radio Free Abbattoir until they changed it so that you couldn't listen to previous broadcasts.

I listen to Sunny 99.1 (KODA), Majic 102 (KMJQ), 106.9 The Point (KHPT), and sometimes Mix 96.5 (KHMX)

All stations are based in Houston, Texas.

I used to listen to NetRadio until it folded in 2001.

Tim

It only takes 15 minutes for "Jack FM" to get on MY nerves! :skull:

The only local radio stations I listen to are KFAI-FM (KFAI.ORG) & 89.3 "The Current" (http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/) -- both are community-run radio stations and air many different programs! (They are funded by National Public Radio, so there are NO COMMERCIALS...)

TRY INTERNET RADIO!! :D

I love the current! It is the only radio station that I can stand.

i hate alot of the stuff that's played on radio. i tolerate 95.6 rock, 101.9 soft rock, and 94.3 oldies. i listen to my cd player in the car but i'm not allowed to when i'm in the car with my dad. he says he wants to talk to me but i can talk to him all the same with the headphones on...it annoys me.

Radio...lets see.........my first of 2 major obsessions........

Guess I'm gonna have to narrow it down to what I listen to MOST and by market:

Milwaukee:

920 WOKY (Oldies. Dial Global Oldies from 7PM-6AM and all weekend)
1050 WLIP (ABC Oldies Radio)
1640 WKSH (Radio Disney)

92.1 WEZY (AC)
94.5 WKTI (Hot AC calling itself a "Hit Music Channel")
95.1 WIIL (Kenosha mainstream rock station trying to be a Chicago station.)
96.1 WLKG (Hot AC)
96.9 WWDV (Classic Hits. Simmulcasts WDRV Chicago)
97.3 WQBW (70s-Current Rock)
99.1 WMYX (Hot AC)
102.1 WLUM (Alternative with a poor signal in my area due to a stupid transmitter move that was supposed to improve it)
103.7 WXSS (CHR that wishes it was rhythmic CHR)

Chicago:

1300 WRDZ (Radio Disney)

92.7 WKIE (Variety Hits)
93.9 WLIT (Mainstream AC that wants to be an AC, Hot AC and Rhythmic Oldies at the same time)
94.7 WZZN (ABC True Oldies Channel/Oldies)
100.3 WILV (Rhythmic Oldies, 80s and AC shoved together)
100.3 WILV HD-2 (Soft AC)
101.1 WKQX (Alternative)
101.1 WKQX HD-2 (Current Alternative)
101.9 WTMX (Modern AC)
102.3 WXLC (Hot AC)
103.5 WKSC (CHR that used to be good but was wrecked)
103.5 WKSC HD-2 (Pop/Dance/LGBT aimed)
104.3 WJMK (Variety Hits AKA Jack FM)
104.3 WJMK HD-2 (The oldies format that was once on the analog)

FM stations I like listening to during DX (*):

Madison/Rockford:

94.9 WOLX (Oldies)
97.5 WZOK (CHR)
98.1 WMGN (AC)
104.1 WZEE (CHR)
107.3 WSJY (AC)

Green Bay/Fox Cities/Sheboygan:

93.9 WDOR (AC/Talk/Sports/Country)
95.9 WKSZ (CHR)
98.5 WQLH (Hot AC)
99.7 WZBY (GMV. VTed variety hits with a classic hits/Hot AC lean. Really cheaply ran but funny)
101.1 WIXX (CHR that targets 25-54 instead of 18-34)

Wausau:

Rare market to DX

95.5 WIFC (CHR. WIXX Green Bay's b***h. What the staff at WIXX says goes)
107.9 WBCV (Gold based Hot AC/Rock)

Grand Rapids/West Michigan/Northern Indiana:

92.9 WNDV (CHR)
94.3 WZOC (Jones Radio Networks Oldies format)
95.7 WLHT (Hot AC)
95.9 WEFM (News/Talk/Oldies/AC)
96.1 WMAX (Variety Hits)
97.9 WGRD (Alternative)
98.3 WLCS (ABC Oldies Radio)
100.5 WTRV (Gold AC)
100.9 WQXC (Oldies)
101.3 WBFX (Mainstreamish Rock)
101.5 WNSN (AC)
102.5 WIOG (CHR) NE MI**
103.3 WKFR (CHR)
103.7 WHIT (Oldies off the bird)
104.5 WSNX (Rhythmic leaning CHR with overmodulated processing due to WHTS)
105.3 WHTS (Adult leaning CHR. Moved from Hart to Coopersville/Grand Rapids area last year. Was AC for a long time before)
105.7 WOOD (AC. Pioneered the going all Christmas in early November craze back in 2001)
106.5 WQLR (GMV)
107.9 WSHZ (AC)

XM:

30 The Hitlist (CHR)
29 U-Pop (Global CHR. Simmulcasts with Worldspace 29)
26 Flight 26 (Modern AC)
24 Sunny 24 (Gold AC)
23 The Heart (Soft AC)
20 20 On 20 (CHR)
9 90s On 9 (90s)
8 80s on 8 (80s)
60s On 6
54 Lucy (90s based alternative)
47 Ethel (Altermative)
115 Radio Disney
247 Emergency Alert

I could go on and on and on and on but it would take forever.
