when I was in band, we woodwinds would refer to the trumpets/'bones, horns and tubas as "brassholes." :lmao:

Hahahahaha
The only jokes slightly like that we have in our band is that we call anyone who accidentally plays at a point that they aren't supposed to a percussionist. Our band director even said to the girl next to me when she did that, "You should join percussion," because it's just about always percussion that messes up.

it has been my experience that percussionists like to blow their own horn.

Well, in the joke video about what band instruments mean, the person said that if you play percussion, you probably "have a high vision of yourself, and you need to get off your high pedestal, because YOU CAN'T PLAY LOUDER THAN THE ENTIRE BAND."

I have an old recording of the benny goodman allstar band playing at Carnegie hall in 1938, and parts of the recording are marred by the over-enthusiastic [TOO LOUD!! !] drumming of the otherwise stellar gene krupa. his drumming is so loud it drowns out the other instruments. he blew his own horn, alright.

You do realize that percussionists are not even human, right? They rank right below tuba players, considering that tuba players are generally party animals.
