I can't really say as my favourites always change/rotate. Sometimes I have one band or artists constantly playing, other times I have plenty that I'm listening to more than the rest of my 'library'.

At the moment I'm listening to mostly:

!Action Pact!
Bob Marley
Cab Calloway
Ella Fitzgerald
John Lee Hooker
The Ramones
The Clash
The Sharons (London punk band)
Hot Rocket Trio (London psychobilly band)
Tommy Schitt and the Punishment F***ers (London punk band)
Dr Asperger's Klezmer Tonic
Genesis
Bobby Darin
Billie Holiday
Cockney Rejects
Johnny Cash
The Slits
The Cramps
The Gadjits
The Slackers
Depeche Mode

... er... I'll stop there.

It changes all the time because I listen to all sorts of stuff and don't really have favourites but I guess Opeth are one of my all time favourite rock/metal bands. I guess they are the only big name band (unless you count Arch Enemy) that I have seen live too.

Since this thread says 'bands' I'll stick to bands, you already know how many hours I can go off on electronic and hip hop that no one's heard of :P

Alice In Chains - specifically Dirt and self-titled, totally in love with the slowed down and psychological edges, grime, and Lane Staley probably had one of the best voices I've heard for what he did.

Tool - Aenima and before - love Adam Jone's claymation and the overall ambience of the videos as well.

Sublime - pretty much all though 40 Oz to Freedom is probably the cd that does the most for me
, love a). the grime of the lyrics and ideas as well as b). how Brad's tracks bounced all over the place and even the sort of liquid groove he worked into a lot of it. Brad invented a style and you could tell he had crystal clear vision with what he was doing like its something he just needed to get out of himself (something I can't help relating to).

311 - self-titled, they had a really great internal hook to their stuff with the energy, flow, Count Say's voice and style I think had a bit more authenticity and energy as well than the guy with Linkin (though I give him credit too, he picked his words well)

Skinny Puppy - VIVISect VI, Mind the Perpetual Intercourse, Last Rights - same as Tool, its that wonderful dark intelligence and how it carries right on from the moods and textures of the tracks - manages to be very head----, glitchy, and funky at the same time.

Ministry - Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm 69

Fugazi - 13 Songs, Repeater. Ian McKay is another guy who's voice and style is very well suited for what he does, that goes for Minor Threat back in the day as well.

Faith No More - Introduce Yourself, King For A Day, Albumn of the Year - like Ministry though I hate a lot of their videos on how they blow the lid off the cheesemeter.

Pantera - Phil lost it later on but still Vulgar Display and Far Beyond Driven are great cds, Cowboys was good but less distinctive in a lot of places I thought.

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - some of its annoying, some of its just straight sick (in a good way of course).
