I would argue that charisma and AS usually go together until there is distress.

I have always loved John Lennon...When I was in my pre and early teens and going through my complete Beatles obsession phase..one of the ways i sorta socialisd myself was through almost sorta mimicking him...I could really relate to his absurdist sense of humor and it sorta helped me develop mine...if that makes sense...

I know exactly what you mean, poopylungstuffing. His absurdist sense of humor (which is quite similar to mine) and perpetual feelings of isolation have continually assured me that I am not crazy, and that there are other people out there who don't quite fit in to this crazy world (not that anyone REALLY does).

I always loved John Lennon, too! i was completely obsessed with him in HS, collected stuff related to him, spoke of him endlessly, and even wore black to mourn during the month of his death (seems funny that I did that now). He's no longer one of my obsessions to that point, but I still love him!

PEACE

Beatles are my favorite band. I tend to doubt Lennon had AS.

"i dont think ive heard one song he ever did that sucked"

My dad, an even greater Beatles fan than me, hates revolution 9. It's very weird but I personally enjoy it.
What do you guys think?

I don't have much use for it.

And referring to an earlier post, I think a lot of people would differ on the description of Yoko as "not unattractive."

In fact, I rather enjoyed the episode of Pinky and the Brain (the primetime series) called "All You Need Is Narf." Yoyo Nono came to the Maharishi Pinky for enlightenment and met the Feebles (who were singing "All You Eat Is Lunch") and sang her happy song, love song, etc. They all sounded the same. Three of the Feebles said, "Ugh, she's awful." The last one said, "I luve her!" (misspelled for accent purposes) Then they went without pants for world freedom or some such thing, all while singing, "Take off Your Pants" (Give Peace a Chance)

Just a note if you can find a copy (they do have the collections out on disc, but they're pricey) that it's a good spoof of the whole thing without mocking anyone except Yoko. And Frank Sinatra.

I think Yoko was (is) hot!

And, couldn't the following be an aspie song?

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.
It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out.
It doesn't matter much to me.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Strawberry Fields forever.

No one I think is in my tree, I mean it must be high or low.
That is you can't you know tune in but it's all right.
That is I think it's not too bad.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Always know sometimes think it's me, but you know I know when it's a dream.
I think a "No," I mean a "Yes," but it's all wrong.
That is I think I disagree.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Strawberry Fields forever.
Strawberry Fields forever.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Me too! I was obsessed with him from age 12-14. His two books made me laugh hysterically and were a huge influence on me. I have always identified with him.

Come Together, he shreds himself apart and shows others how to rebuild themselves all in a very short song and with freakin good music to boot. As much as the press and others ripped into him, no one could do it better then he could to himself. He was AS no doubt in my mind. So was Zappa. No Where Man is another good one, talk about opening doors, wow. He was called the thinking beatle for a very good reason. He wouldn't give a damn what label he had, he was John and he knew it. A street tough that beat himself almost to death. He just was pointing to the worst kept secret in the world, so simple, it is hard to see. He's the man and always will be. Lol, "nothing is real", how simpler can it get?
