Yes, that makes sense. So you won't have the same pokemon/trainer bonding, and rival teams would be really competitive because of the gym takeovers, right?

Since you were looking for feedback on your stories earlier, I asked about who your readers would be: fellow Pokemon Go fans or other people. If you want other people to read, then you need to have really good descriptions and background in your story so they'll understand.
