Do you know Arabic, traven? The types of songs you posted are very hard to be related for a non-arabic fluent speaker.

I noticed a lot of Americans are into Persian music, more than Arabic music - I think part of why is due to the anti-religious regime iranian diaspora; and the music produced by the diaspora got more mixed with Western styles, hence easier on the ears of Americans.

Notice how the diaspora often refer themselves as 'Persian' but not as 'Iranian', sadly the are crying for their lost persian identity and glory.

Speaking of which, the music industry is Iran is almost dead and highly restricted.

The local Arabic music industry (*in* Arab countries) is eons far beyond the Iranian music industry; even surprisingly in the most conservative Arab countries of the Gulf.

For instance you don't see worldwide music competition programs occuring in Iran such as The Voice, Star Academy, Celebrity duels, or "Iran idol" - while all these programs had been running in Arab countries for years and candidates (of which more than half are females, except Saudis) come from all Arab countries, even from the highly extremist Saudi Arabia.

While many Iranians boast about their country's technological achievements and cultural wealth, I see no bright cultural future for Iran as a Persian culture, it will be a dead culture, if it remains so.

From my favourite Korean vocalist:
