Fitzwalter:
My hypoglycemia is the reactive type as well. In fact I have not heard of fasting hypoglycemia. The only other kind I was aware of was what pregnant mothers experience and it went away once they delivered. Also I am surprised that at least part of the medical community in this country is acknowledging that such a malady exists. It wasn't very long ago I heard doctors saying, "If your blood sugar is low, eat some candy." Right... Hypoglycemia was something they received no training in so they simply didn't get involved.
Let me ask, did your dietician differentiate between simple and complex carbs in that list of foods? How simple carbs such as white sugar, white flour, and some others, should be avoided at all costs but the complex ones, beans, brown rice, whole wheat flour, among others are the ones you should eat regularly? Too often they advise you to avoid ALL carbs which puts you at a disadvantage because the complex ones are your friends and allies. They are the ones that help you to maintain an adequate blood sugar level through the night.
And welcome to Wrong Planet, btw.
