Do some people eat whole oranges?

I do eat whole oranges from time to time...but I do peel them first.


I think that must have been a joke post or something, I have never heard of anywhere that it's tradition to just chomp into oranges without peeling them at all and eating the whole peel.

Like sure I could believe if like they ate the whole orange but spit out the peel or maybe bit in initially and then peels the rest but I cannot imagine very many people just eating oranges peel and all as a regular breakfast.

Just chomp it like an apple over the kitchen sink and eat it, then wash your hands & face. I've done it once or twice just for the sake of eating the peek for the extra nutrients w/o eating it separate from the sweet fruit so it doesn't taste so bad.

Banana peels are inedible. They're so bitter they almost make your tongue feel numb - gross.
