These aren't, although I do have my own photos of all the ones I've posted so far - they're just not online anywhere and I'm too lazy to upload them :D

I used to photograph fungi a lot. They fascinate me. I'm much more familiar with the common names - I've had to look up the Latin ones for some of these.

I remember binomials first for some reason haha! All of the photos I've posted so far are my own. It's very nice to meet someone else with a fungi fascination! I'd love to see some of your old photos (if you ever feel up to uploading them)!

Rhizopus stolonifer. Common bread mold. From before bread had preservatives in them.

Trichoderma sp.

A common fungus living in soil (and incidentally one from my master’s thesis.)

Trichoderma is an interesting fungus. Really beautiful (particularly in the wild), but I know it can cause some nasty health issues in humans. I'd love to hear more about your thesis.

Nice! Plant pathogens are so cool.

Wrightoporia autrosinensis (one of the coolest fungi out there in my eyes). I found it for the first time in Jan 2021, on a fallen pine tree in a North Georgia forest. I had only heard a couple of other mycologists talking about finding it in Georgia, so I was so surprised to find this "bubblegum fungus" in my own forest! It is very stretchy when pulled apart. It feels like a mix between bubblegum and cotton candy.

Interesting. Is this your photo? It is very similar to Gliophorus psittacinus in appearance (at least from this view of the pileus).
