Labels serve no other purpose than to divide people.
Labels do serve plenty of other purposes too.
Every noun and every adjective, in every language which has nouns and adjectives, is a label. Without any labels, it would be extremely difficult to have language-based communication of any kind.
Of course there can be difficulties with labels. They can sometimes be oversimplified or just plain wrong. Finding truly accurate labels for some things can be a challenge. Labels can also be used in dishonest, propagandistic ways.
But it's not feasible to avoid all labels.
