Should children be exposed to this on Disney?

TV content aimed at kids is watched by a range of ages. But yes toddlers have short attention spans so it's debatable how much they take in.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Paw Patrol would not usually interest the demographic the video you posted was intended for.

Kids programming is not all lumped together in one group. It’s for different ages/demographics.

I would argue that's not the case in the real world. Children of various ages (siblings) will often sit together watching the same animated toons. I've seen it with my own eyes.

That is true to a certain point.

There is nothing in the cartoon that is too inappropriate. It’s fine. It would not keep a toddler’s interest for very long, though, which is also fine.

Yes that's my feeling too. Even older kids whom this is aimed at don't automatically adopt the message. If the message conflicts with their world view then they would check with a friend or parent for corroboration.

Disney might have seemed better in the past because people are more likely to remember the good movies and forget the bad ones.

Somehow I doubt parents who use a television as a babysitter would be a good place for kids to look for corroboration.

The original "Proud Family" featured an episode where Penny went back in time to the 1960s and learned about segregation and the Civil Rights Movement.

The thing is, I feel that in the past, a show like "Proud Family" would address those issues in a way that was consistent with its sitcom tone and format. Take a scene of that time-travel episode out of context and it would probably still be recognizable as a sitcom scene.

Whereas with this scene from the new series, if I didn't know who these characters are and what it was from, I'd assume it was from a political PSA.

I am 70 years old and a full-stack developer, and now is the best possible time for me to be both those things. OTOH I can see how many in their 20s and 30s might have been happier living in an earlier era. Ironic AF.
