If food gets in the sink I freak out because I can't touch water to get it out of the drain.
I can't wear rubber / latex gloves either.

I have to clean some Bolognese from a pot tonight and I've been dreading it for hours.
It's like a nightmare for me.

I don't like doing dishes because of the same thing. I also don't like how dry my hands feel after I have to do anything w/ water (and especially anything w/ water + soap... like doing dishes... lol). I use a lot of lotion after anything like that. People tease me about it a lot because I literally carry a little thing of lotion around, in case I have to wash my hands or do something with water. lmao

I don't think I have significant food aversion, not sure if those I do have are more NT or autistic tbh. I think even NTs have foods they dislike based on texture alone, but what do I know.

I cannot stand squash for sure, and I will not eat it. The texture is all kinds of nope, and the taste doesn't make it good enough to endure the texture.

The bin is the best place for rice imo.

I'd rather clean a baby's dirty bottom.
I"m even pretty good with blood or puke.
Food --- nope.
Even when the kids were little my biggest aversion was food grime on the highchair tray.
Shivers.

It slid in very easily, with the lid still on.
It was followed in rapid succession by the chow mein floating in liquid stuff.
And some leftover soup with wet meat at the bottom.
OK now I'm almost hyperventilating.

Dare me to go do the sauce?

Both me and my sister were picky eaters as kids. My sister moreso, I'd say. I remember she literally would gag and almost throw up when forced to eat certain foods.
A lot of times my pickyness was more a result of thinking a food seemed weird or gross, rather than taste or texture. Though I did have foods I disliked on those accounts too.

I used to be afraid of ketchup.
My brother put it on everything.
I wouldn't even touch his plate to clear the table.
I called ketchup "boys' food" since he was the only person who ate it. 8)

My exh forced me to start eating ketchup.
He plastered it all over my food on purpose in front of his family.

When I was a kid I tricked my sister into having honey on her sandwich. She refused to try it, but I wanted her to realize that honey is fricken delicious.

It turned out ok (she liked it), but I do feel bad cuz that was not ok for me to do.

I have a visceral reaction to limes but I can eat lemons whole.
