Thanks for all the answers most helpful. I did the tests that some of you recommended

43 of 50 (I think it was the ”ordinary” aspie quiz)

And and longer questionaire with 120+ questions where I got 135 of 200 and my nt score was 89 of 200.

It's really up to you how you want to proceed, assuming that you've got access to somebody that can do a formal diagnosis and whatever funds that might entail.

But, regardless of what you choose to do in that regard, there's no reason to not start looking at ways of reorganizing your home and personal life to be more aligned with the likely ASD. That should also be something that you can point to if things are helping if you do choose to get a formal diagnosis, as a lot of the stuff, should have minimal impact on people without ASD, but can make a world of difference for those that do.

As everybody has said it is a personal decision.

Some people need a professional confirming their suspicions otherwise they waste a lot of time and energy wondering if they are not autistic but an as*hole using autism as crutch. Other people are confident enough that they are autistic that they can proceed accordingly.

As far as others not believing you are autistic if you self diagnose the odds of this happening is greater but a professional diagnosis is far from a guarantee this won’t happen.

Thanks so much for all the input. I am on a journey and I believe I ve received new keys to understand. As of now I ll probably wont go for a diagnose but I ll try to make some adjustments and see what it does to my well being.
