^Thanks for the list!

I just finished The Good Lawyer's Wife.

Very nicely done. The turn at the end, where the wife had been accused of having an affair with a teenaged boy, and then follows through on it and becomes pregnant, is quite a good twist.

Not a movie, but I really enjoy the animations that Be My Pet posts.

I just watched The Housemaid (1960), which the website characterizes as the Number 1 Best. It is a good movie, but I wouldn't consider it the BEST. But, to each his own.

Anyway, one thing that makes it interesting is that 1960 was just after the Korean War. People were very poor for the most part. And, there was a huge surplus of women, given that a lot of men were killed in the war. So, a man of some social standing could easily get mauled.

I just subscribed to KOCOWA+.
My intention was just to subscribe for a month.
I wanted to want The Ghost Detective as part of my Park Eun-bin interest. Park Eun-bin is one of the Korean actors that have captured my interest.

Once I started looking through what KOCOWA offers, I added the following Korean series/films to "My List"

  • The Ghost Detective
  • Good Doctor
  • Korean Ghost Stories 2008
  • Korean Ghost Stories 2009
  • Recalled
  • Do You Like Brahms?
  • Stove League
  • Father, I'll Take Care of You
  • Secret Door
  • Judge vs Judge (listed as Nothing to Lose in IMBD)
  • King Maker (2022)
  • Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP
  • Pasta

The titles that are in bold have Park Eun-bin.
Recalled has Seo Ye-ji, who was in It's Okay to Not Be Okay.
The last three have Lee Sun-kyun, who I've seen in My Mister. I was impressed by his [small] screen presence. He had a great voice.

The problem I have is some actors pop up in several series or films and I become interested in their careers. For instance Jeo Bae-soo, who played Woo Young-woo's dad in Extraordinary Attorney Woo has popped up in several series I've watched; Divorce Attorney Shin, Mr. Queen, Stranger, and Lawless Lawyer. He is also in Kingmaker with Lee Sun-kyun.

By the way, I just finished watching Stranger (on Netflix) not long ago. It features Cho Seung-woo, who after the fact I discovered was in Divorce Attorney Shin. He was very good in both. Very different characters. Bae Doona, who may be familiar to more western audiences, is also in it. He is a prosecutor who does not feel empathy. She is a detective who enjoys drawing, manga, and both of them are known for stirring up trouble. Together, they try to get to the bottom of corporate corruption in the prosecutor's office and police
I would recommend Stranger, if you have Netflix.

I finally got around to watching Oldboy.

Too much violence for my taste, and too little T&A.

But, it did have a fascinating plot. Including a take on the old Oedipus Rex story.

Oldboy was pretty good. The corridor fight scene is legendary.
