My girlfriend had a colonoscopy & upper endoscopy last month. The results were mosly OK & they now want her to get a breath test to check for a certain kind of infection. The doc did get upset with her & said they might need to do the colonoscopy again because she may have eaten too close to the procedure but she followed the directions of timing exactly. We're night people & she didn't want to feel hungry. If they wanted her to go longer without eating they should have given timing directions that relected that. If someting states a day before we both assume it means 24 hours before her appointment time & half a day before would be 12 hours before her appointment

I sometimes have diarrhea phases. They are more likely to happen after eating beans or rice but I don't always have diarrhea after & I can have diarrhea other times as well. We cant connect it to any other triggers. I tried researching it but I can rule most conditions/disorders out since I don't experience other major symptoms. My best guess right now would be diarrhea predominant IBS.
