I'm online a lot because I'm home 24/7 on disability and I enjoy writing. I'm not into arguments or following people and I don't have an agenda to push.

I've known quite a few trolls and I'm sure some of them are ND, although the worst ones I've known are more questionable. They never give a straight answer about whether or not they're ND or why they use the site. Sometimes their answers change multiple times, and other times they tell one person they're ND but tell others they secretly aren't.

Those people are whackjobs regardless of their neurotype.

I don't think anybody here thinks you are a troll, Isabella.

You don't need to justify yourself.

Thanks, but I didn't think they did either.

I'm just thinking out loud or explaining the difference between people who are online a lot, vs. actual trolls.

I think trolling is a subset of people who are combative and enjoy being grand s**t disturbers. Sometimes people go looking for a fight with sincere motives, if deeply misguided.

Following someone so you can deliberately and repeatedly start arguments with them is bullying, not trolling.

While trolls often have way too much time on their hands, it's certainly possible to troll without doing it constantly.

I do agree trolls usually have an agenda. Usually they're trying to attack people they don't like - 'stick it to the libs' or whatever. However, some trolls are just agents of chaos, out for no larger agenda than their own amusement. Either way they're a kind of grief - people who take pleasure in making others unhappy or upset.

I'd agree with that. ^

I do troll occasionally if people REALLY annoy or patronise me but I soon lose interest and move on.

I think it's rare but possible and likely as defensive of something they believe in. I've caught myself replying on political bullies' Twitter. I had to stop before I got sick. My blood pressure would rise. I can't stand a bully. :x
