I agree with Twilight.

Also, if you reply to other people's posts and show that you care about them, people will write more to you in return.

The same goes with saying "thank you" to people who do reply to you, or responding to the advice they've given you.

I do read other people& reply.

Oh OK. Sorry then. I don't recall you replying to my questions before but maybe you've supported others.

I don't know if I saw your last post or not, but I usually read them when I see them.

I know that for some of them that I don't reply to at all it's because you haven't asked for any input, advice, help, or any type of support or response so when I read a post like that I figure that there's nothing I can really add of value to it and that the main reason you posted it was just to vent w/o comment.. and you did that, so, kind of thread over before they start a conversation.

If you WANT people to respond with something, maybe phrase things in a way that indicates that so people don't just assume you felt like venting and that's the end of that thread. If you want responses to something, ask for peoples' input, comments, advice, support, ideas etc and you're WAY more likely to get people responding to threads instead of just reading them and assuming you just needed to vent your frustrations about something.

IMO.

You can click that thing under her name in her profile to see what her "last post" was before this. I assume that that is the post she is referring to.

It was in the "women's section".

So right there...none of us of male persuasion would have even seen it in the first place.

And I couldnt finish reading it just now...because it had to do with abortions and hysterectomies. I would think even most females would also be "in over their heads" emotionally and experience wise, and expertise wise, for the topic.

She might wanna take it to a professional for some face to face counsuling and not here to a bunch of strangers on the web.

That was replying to another post, I’m talking about my post I made in the haven.

I find this site very hard to follow, I can't always see which posts have been replied to and when, and many get lost in the ocean of posts. I often don't get replied to either, I think it's just the luck of the draw whether people see posts or not, unfortunately.

Still, it is better than Twitter/X and the others where you're more likely to get a reply from trolls or bots, which are horrible.

WP is BETTER than Facebook too.

Oh yes, Facebook is one of those other troll/bot sites. I deleted my account there long ago.

I am sorry that no one applied to your post and I would be hurt too. The Haven might be a better place to talk about how you are feeling as we are here for you.

Limiting participation in discussion forums on the "lighter side" of things such as this forum 'The Random Discussion Forum' can be beneficial. The 'Topical Discussion' forums e.g., movies, art, hobbies. can also prove fulfilling.
