Make it a bit more cat like and ironically a little feminine, then MAYBE I'd incline to like it.

Its eyes are way too expressive for an autistic person, or at least for me.
I could only hope to portray that much emotion.

It's learned to mask, but just a little.

Its a cute creature.

But WTF does it hafta do with autism?

I mean...in what way does it represent/portray autism?

I think it's one of those things that happened mainly by accident, as a lot of memes do. Based on the contexts I see it portrayed in, some people seem relate to its intense but non-threatening stare (it can give the impression of someone who's either really focussed on something they find interesting, or of someone who is feeling disconnected in a social environment, depending on where you put it). I don't think most people think about it too deeply though- it's a bit of a silly character

I love the autism creature. He's quite the no-nonsense lad. We need a no-nonsense creature to represent us.

It's creepy. The first time I saw it I thought of 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd.

I hate memes in general, though. They're a lazy and shallow replacement for actual communication.

I don't relate to it at all.

I would have thought it would be a lama. I mean, read the Tao Te Ching or anything on Cha'an, and it's pretty clear that they were trying to create autistic people, just with somewhat more internal awareness of what our needs are.

I'll vote for the cats.

I was 64 when I first saw that book. I was stunned that it mentioned some things that:
(a) were true about me
(b) I would never have guessed had anything to do with Autism.

They're good role models. None of this trying to fit in nonsense.
