Trouble Will Find Me by The National. I know the album has been around for a while but I've been getting into it lately.
I love the song "Pink Rabits"

It's 7 and a half minutes of spastic, noisy, not quite grindcore but somehow more extreme.
I own the 3" mini CD release.

Every song is a certified hood classic.

@FXE,

I've been meaning to ask if you can explain all the different kinds of "core" music.

I have no idea which is which.

one of many compendium/mix discs i've made over the decades, featuring covers of Beatles songs by various artists. and Izzy, "Core" is a term used in music to describe a style or theme that defines a genre or trend. The suffix "-core" has been used in many music genres, including:
Hardcore
Used by Washington punk musicians in the 1970s to differentiate their music from mainstream punk
Metalcore
A fusion of hardcore punk and extreme metal that originated in the 1980s. Metalcore is known for its breakdowns, heavy guitar riffs, and double bass drumming.
Nintendocore
A broad style that often combines chiptune, video game music, hardcore punk, and/or heavy metal.
Speedcore
Also known as splittercore when the BPM is between 600 and 1,000, this genre is characterized by its minigun-like kicks.

All of 'em, or just the ones that can be tied to hardcore punk? :P

Because it's definitely a suffix that's spread way beyond it's origin as a sorta tongue in cheek way to refer to offshoots of hardcore punk. Either way, I'll try to answer but all of 'em requires more tangents. :nerdy:

Probably Copperhead Road. Love that album. It's honestly not skippable for me. I now own a copy on vinyl and CD. I found a 1989 copy so that's cool.
