So a bunny distributing eggs is a logical symbol of spring. Albeit Pagan.
As Christianity spread to western Europe early Christians coopted the imagery into the gospel to honor the resurrection of Christ.
Though bunnies and eggs are nowhere to be found in the New Testament.
