As far as I know there is nothing pointing in the direction that the Bible is the word of God or even inspired by any god. It is most probably a piece of fiction. You can't use the Bible to prove any point or make any claims regarding any real world matters.

I do not condone the deaths of innocent non-combatants.  Sadly, in any war, it happens.  There will be collateral damage especially when combatants hide themselves among and behind the civilian population -- people seem to be turning blind eyes to the use of innocent "meat shields" by the Palestinians.

How many times have Israeli combatants strapped explosives to themselves and detonated them at crowded Palestinian weddings, killing dozens of innocent civilians?

How many Israelis learned just enough about flying airplanes to crash airliners into buildings containing thousands of innocent civilians?

How many Israelis kill their innocent daughters for being raped in a vain attempt to restore "honor" to their families?

I'm only asking for a friend.

The human shields narrative has been thoroughly debunked and doesn't excuse Israel wilfully targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. Keep offering bad excuses for genocidal behaviour.

This is the problem with letting hasbara do your thinking for you.

Storing arms and ammunition in schools and hospitals makes those facilities military targets -- this is one form of "meat shielding".

Don't want hospitals and schools targeted?  Keep the arms and ammunition out of them.  Same for mosques, marketplaces, and private homes.

Israel often claims they're targeting military materiel but rarely do those claims withstand significant scrutiny, but I guess we should just take them at their word because they're the designated good guys and can do no wrong.

And if they did wrong, it was justified because obviously their enemies are subhuman monsters who deserve everything Israel does to them, including buttraping them with objects while they're illegally detained.

God has given His word that the nation of Israel will never cease as long as the sun still shines by day and the moon and stars still shine by night (Jeremiah 31:35–37).

Well, that doesn't mean nation as in nation state like we understand the meaning of today. Doesn't it mean the ethnolingustic group of people? And since Palestine people are Semitic just like Israeli people, couldn't you argue the land belongs to them as well? To live in peace and harmony?

Another thought, does God imply possession like what we understand ownership is today?

Either or, right or wrong, it doesn't make a difference. Slaughter a person with the reasons stemming from a religious text is an insane thing to do. Slaughter thousand and thousands people with the same reasoning, that's beyond my comprehension.

In line with some posts in this thread, here’s some wonderful guidance from the Bible.

Numbers 31:1-3, 17-18 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Avenge the Israelites on the Midianites; afterward you shall be gathered to your people.” 3 So Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm some of your number for the war, so that they may go against Midian, to execute the Lord’s vengeance on Midian.

[…]

17 Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known a man by sleeping with him. 18 But all the young girls who have not known a man by sleeping with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Deuteronomy 20:10-18 When you draw near to a town to fight against it, offer it terms of peace. 11 If it accepts your terms of peace and surrenders to you, then all the people in it shall serve you at forced labor. 12 But if it does not accept your terms of peace and makes war against you, then you shall besiege it, 13 and when the Lord your God gives it into your hand, you shall put all its males to the sword. 14 You may, however, take as your plunder the women, the children, livestock, and everything else in the town, all its spoil. You may enjoy the spoil of your enemies, which the Lord your God has given you. 15 Thus you shall treat all the towns that are very far from you, which are not towns of these nations here. 16 But as for the towns of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, you must not let anything that breathes remain alive. 17 Indeed, you shall annihilate them—the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites—just as the Lord your God has commanded, 18 so that they may not teach you to do all the abhorrent things that they do for their gods and you thus sin against the Lord your God.

1 Samuel 15:1-3 Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over his people Israel; now therefore listen to the words of the Lord. 2 Thus says the Lord of hosts: I will punish the Amalekites for what they did in opposing the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt. 3 Now go and attack Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.”

God ended up being pissed because they didn’t kill all the livestock.

I think we should TOTALLY listen to what this god has to say. It seems 100% legit, reasonable, and humane. /s

Evidence, please?

Note: "evidence" does not include unverified/unverifiable assertions by the IDF or Israeli government.

This, I assume, is some of that "collateral damage" -

There's something pathetic about people bringing up the "collateral damage" defence while ignoring the concept of proportionality, although it tells you something about how they value Israeli lives vs. Palestinian lives.

British doctor Amer Shoaib visit town hall in Manchester and his elected MP earlier this summer.

About 6:40 into this clip you get the context and his statement from his visit to Gaza. Later, 11:39 you get the MP answer to his question.
