Now many years have passed. I am 76 years old. My hearing is shot. So I wear hearing aids in order to hear when people talk to me. So I can understand verbal communications. But they have to speak loudly.

But there is something that I came across over 10 years ago. It was a different type of hearing device. Instead of sending sound waves through my ears, this type sends them directly through my skull. It is called an Aftershokz or Shokz Bone Conduction Headphones. This is an example of one of these units.



This device ties with my iPod where I have around 10,000 songs stored inside. I took the songs from hundreds of my audio disc records and stored them into a small iPod. It took me several weeks to accomplish this, but now I can carry an entire audio collection in my pocket.

So although my hearing aids can allow me to hear people talking. This Shokz system allows me to enjoy wonderful, beautiful music again.
