As a kid I was obsessed with Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry and people who covered it.

I do the same thing. What's very annoying, though, is that I'll hear an oldie that I haven't heard for many years and it will repeat over and over... in my head until I think I'm going crazy. I'll do almost anything to avoid this. If it's music I like, that's ok.

I know what you mean! All these unwanted songs from years ago pop into my head at random times. My sister says my brain is like a radio, and unfortunately it usually tunes into cheesy oldies songs, to the dismay of me and everyone within hearing distance...

I've sometimes got a radiohead, but it functions well enough that it doesn't usually get stuck..

There's a few artists that had me listening to them a ton for a few weeks, but I guess that's kind of ordinary Everyone sometimes just finds that band that just clicks with them... The most plays I've had out of any single track EVER in a week is probably less than 10.

ALL the time. Right now it's "Come Undone" and "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran. Also several from Tears for Fears, and definitely "Aint No Sunshine" by Bill Withers. And any covers of that song are pretty good too. I can listen to them repeatedly for days and not get tired of it. This always happens to me. I get stuck on a few songs for months.

Yes - recently it was "Down to the devil" by Edguy. Before this song there were songs from "Jesus Christ Superstar". If I suddenly start to like any song, I can listen to it for several days all day long.

Yep! Right now it's "Caramelldansen" by Caramell. It's such a pretty little dance song. Earlier this year it was "Dragostea din Tei" by O-Zone.

I have a playlist of 4 Chet Atkins tunes I listen to several times in a row: Windy and Warm, Hot Toddy, Rainbow, and Yakety Axe with Mark Knopfler.

I once listened to "Leningrad" on a Billy Joel CD for an hour and a half on my way in to work.

Yes, I do! I sing the songs from Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits album all the time.

Happens to me all the time. One minute I love Leona Lewis's single, the next I'm into Mika's Grace Kelly, then Green Day's Wake Me Up When September Ends; and then I hear Leona Lewis again and I'm right back to where I started. :D

Not so much songs but bands are what happens to me,
Taproot, to MSI, to... anything else that strikes me as good music

Sometimes it's one song, sometimes it's several similar ones that I really like. But yes, I know what you mean.

I've been looking for YellowBird played by Chet Atkins... used to have a CD of his with that song on it.
I'm trying to re-learn it on guitar.

I recently discovered Finger Eleven... can't remember the song I have of theirs though.

eta: just went and looked... "One Thing" by Finger Eleven.

Since yesterday, I have had Peter Gabriel's, "Solsbury Hill" on an endless loop on my iPod.
I expect I'll be listening to it all night at work as well as through tomorrow... we'll see.
