I'm so tempted to draw Raphael, but I can't draw humans...

I'm not allowed to download stuff.

Jesus Christ, that sounds serious. This isn't some kind of perverse punishment is it?

I can only copy stuff. I can't draw from imagination, so getting inspiration of things to copy is very hard. The only thing I can seem to draw from imagination is my character Kyo. But I don't want to draw him...

that drawing on your deviantart account is good, you definitely have potential, you just need to break free of those limitations and try harder to draw from imagination, draw some characters like Kyo, maybe some friends or enemies. if you love to draw just draw whenever you can and whatever you feel like, maybe just go to a coffee shop or a public place and start observing people and making little sketches of them. the key to becoming better at drawing is DRAWING DRAWING DRAWING!! !

No. Downloading stuff just makes the PC slower.

If I could go to public places, I would.

It's rather unkind of them to restrict you to the house all day. Getting outside is necessary for a person's development.

I'm learning to write electronic music except finding the right sounds is a pain and total motivation killer.

I miss the simplicity of just having a guitar.

SImplify!
When I get blocked . . .well think about it a "blokage" cnat happen unless somethings trying to get tthrough.
I used gto draw coats then I would draw in all the little details like the stiches and patterns.
Draw something from memory. Draw your videogame holder. Just imagine it you know it, your fingers have memory. Thats something you know draw that, from memory. I'd like to see it.
I used to tell my students two things make a good artist. Time and Observation.
If you're drawing something ( like an action figure ) spend more time looking at the thing you're drawing than your paper.
You dont have to get it right the first time, each time you grt better, which brings me to TIME.
Art is just like baseball or piano, the more you practice the better you get.
I made a mug with ears for handles of yoda the year Empire Strikes Back came out . Next year I did another, Then I did one in college , then I did one after graduation. I'm due to do another, I'm 35. I always show these to students and tell them thats how you progress, and you will IF you dont give up.
Everyone of us starts out loving art, but the daty comes when we look at the kids piece sitting next to us and feel inferior, a person gives up and the world loses another artist.
Remember you are only supposed to be the best YOU can be. Art is not a competion, its a dedication. And you have your whole life to see how good you can get. I can't wait to see how I've improved after another 35 years.
Now draw that controler. Twice . 1st without looking, 2nd while looking. PM me . Consider it homework!

I get how you feel. I love to write and I feel that I compose poetry pretty skillfully, but sometimes, I feel like I cannot conjure the right words at all and the feeling is terrible. I suppose I have my good days and bad days when it comes to this, though I am still trying to determine what I must do in order to make the former outnumber the latter.

I've never seen this cartoon.
My favorite adventure cartoon growing up was Thundarr the Barbarian.
