A lot of people love FFX, including some of my good friends. I personally couldn't stand it. The voice acting couldn't be any more grating, the music is mediocre at best (the final boss music was TERRIBLE... oh Nobuo, how far you fell from Dancing Mad and One-Winged Angel...), and I never got into the characters or anything else for that matter. Maybe I never gave it a fair chance, but it rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning and that never changed.

FF3 DS is picking up, by the way. The story and characters are still very simple, but the quests/tasks are becoming more interesting.

V.
I also like II, IV, VI, and IX. I never played the famous VII or the apparently disappointing VIII. X is fine. XII is horrible.

V rules.

FFX is decent enough, but Tidus was a bit too annoying, voice-acting wise (except when contemplative), and Yuna was a bit too quiet.

I like Final Fantasy X best
Final Fantasy VII is second best
mostly because I loved the story

I loved the voice overs. Much better than reading text.

Indeed. Tidus just doesnt shut up.

Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite, even though i've never played. What they seriously need to do, however, is either A) reformat the PS2 and PS3 memory cards to accept data from PS1 games, B) remake FFVII for the PS2 or PS3, using the animation style from Advent Children (that would be friggin awesome), or C) combination of the above.

It's possible that a remake is on the cards. Besides, haven't you got a PS1 memory card?

I might get Crystal Bearers when it comes out on Wii. Out of the three FF games I've played, VI is my favourite.

The fact that most of you voted for FFVI (and not FFVII!) really gives me a favorable impression of this community. I know there's another 90s kid here who understands. Now, I may not see eye-to-eye with you on political issues, favorite foods, or those god-awful bands you have listed on your myspace profile.. (social networking is a sin, btw) but this little poll here sure filled my tummy with warm, funny feelings. No wait... that's heart burn. Look, the important thing here is that we ought to discuss some unsolved mysteries. Did old Baram survive after being abandoned by Shadow? What's the strange connection between Ultros and Ziegfried? Was Lonewolf really a wolf, or wearing a suit to disguise his true identity? Is Gau potty trained? Well, that's enough nostalgia for the moment, I'll get back to this later.

I haven't actually completed VI yet but I've played quite a bit of it. As for III, it may as well be the dirt on the bottom of VI's boots, or the dirt stuck to that dirt.

Do you mean the NES, DS version, or the poorly translated version of VI?

DS version. I don't really think much of that game. And it was just an excuse to use a Kefka quote as well.
