The best advice for anyone in todays economy is to followyour bliss.
Discover what it is that you really love to do, then find people who are willing to pay for it.
You could probably even find a research scientist who was willing to pay you to sleep if you looked hard enough.

data entry, file clerk, mail room person, all low noise, low interaction, stable hours. (I don't like jobs where your schedule changes week to week, like it does in retail.)

I've had a few security jobs where i was paid to sleep. At least, that's what i think i was supposed to do. :wink:

Britain has such an agency funded by the NAS, and it is called Prospects. (I don't know how good they are, though.)


I'm going through Prospects now, they seem to be pretty good. Sadly the vacancies for year around Lighthouse Keepers, in storm free areas, are thin on the ground at the moment, but fingers crossed. I'll let you know how they do.
