When I was still writing it did seem to interest at least a part of the women who read it. So I'd say it's not a no-no. Even bad poetry (yes, it exists ;)) can be pretty interesting if it describes the same feeling. Ofcourse it never really got me anything then :D. I think I made a few nice ones (in dutch, so I can't prove it), but after a short time of writing I sort of lost the feeling for it. Ofcourse I'm basically not a verbal person, more an idea-ist.
