The Pixies and the Vines are two other bands where the singer's voice turned me off initially but that eventually grew on me over time.

/me lives in area full of white guys who are trying to be black (MTV black). I once heard someone take ten seconds trying to say "Aight" (alright). I actually pronounce that way naturally at times, so laughing was inevitable. Mind you, I'm only really referring to about a third of the teens here. It's still funny...when it's not angering and depressing.

I was kind of annoyed at first, but I evantually got used to it. It's not very often I listen to Linkin Park.

Oh! The singer from Gorillaz!! ! That guy has no vocal support at all!! ! It's like a depressing guy humming into a microphone at times. I'm not really bugged by his voice much, just don't why he can't try singing with more support every now and then. The guy has no emotion in his voice.

As some one who experienced bad emotional and metal abuse at the hands of there parents I can say they sound like they are more then 12 years old they are speaking to people

She's too "pop" sounding is a complaint I get a lot whe I ask why someone doesn't like her singing. I prefer the lead singer of Nightwish, same sound but better IMO.

i love Amy lee's voice, I don't find it annoying at all. Yeah, Tarja has an angelic voice...

I kind of prefer Amy Lee's voice, I guess because it's more "pop," or less operatic. Both good singers though.

Yeah, I agree! Same with Interpol and The Arcade Fire - they're both just so amazing

And I need to agree with the above discussion, that Amy Lee's voice is incredible.

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith especcially in the Armagedon song, which really sucks because some of his songs (Dream On mostly) I really like.

Mariah Carey when she hits those notes dogs can't even hear.
Billie Joe form Green Day. Still sounds like a 16-year-old kid with a serious respiratory problem that prohibits him from breathing through his nose.
