PCs are going to become a lot more gamer friendly, as Nvidia and AMD are both going to be working on graphics processors that are integrated into the motherboard, and both companies produce gaming GPUs. Intel will have to improve it's built in GPUs to compete, so won't be able to keep shipping it's shoddy GMA series any more. I have a feeling that since AMD bought out ATI, there's going to be come cooperation between Intel and nvidia for survival in the future (that is, if the upcoming Fusion chipset is actually going to be any good)...
As for the consoles, each subsequent generation is becoming more and more PC-like... the PS2 and PS3 can both run linux, and you can mod the xbox and the xbox 360 to run windows... So it could very well happen in the future that both genres sort of merge together, and then spawn off nintendo as a niche console...
