^^^is a well-named user.

Anyway, I'm from the school that thinks Ocarina of Time is the greatest game ever made and nothing since has approached its depth. That includes Twilight Princess which was, sad to say, a bit of a let-down for me because it felt like a retread of Ocarina and the series officially went stale with it. Nothing's really been brought to the series since the hugely satisfying Majora's Mask.

Better than Wind Waker though. It was a fun game, but the 10 minutes worth of sailing to your destination and super-easy boss battles hurt the game.

TP did seem like ALttP, but it was much better in my opinion.

Reasons why I like this game:

Horseback combat
Sumo Wrestling
Throwing Gorons
Snowboarding
Snowpeak Ruins
Temple of Time.

There...

Thomas: If you like Zelda but think Twilight Princess is basically a retread of OoT, which it is, you might prefer Phantom Hourglass for the DS which I found far superior. Actually, I think most of the handheld Zeldas are really really good, and show more originality than the console versions.

I've beaten the Gamecube version, and have done just about everything in it, all items and collectibles. I'm working on Phantom Hourglass now. Many familiar Zelda themes in Twilight Princess, less things new, but still a great game.

I really enjoyed playing it to completion.

Was the first Zelda game I was actually interested in playing as well.

I think the only bit that I didn't like was the boss on the Wind dungeon- the dragon thingy that flies around and you have to use the claws to climb the pillars. Man that boss drove me mad so i downloaded a game-save immediately following that boss and continued from there. I know thats cheating but I wanted to finish it so bad I wasnt going to let that boss stop me

We have it for Wii, I tried playing it, but the massive amounts of bloom completely ruined it for me :x I've seen some distasteful uses of bloom in videogames lately, but I think this game takes the cake.

It's also painfully obvious that this is just a GameCube title they slightly altered.

I'll wait until I get a copy of the Cube version before I give it a serious playthrough.

On a seperate note, am I the only person who prefers the 2D games? :? I've probably beaten the original Zelda for NES more times than all the other games combined.

So do you fight another shadow link or something, I have a theory that maybe Link is going to eventualy use all the tools he has learnt, like Ocarina, masks, Wind waker and turning into a wolf. now that would be crazy.

I picked up a second-hand copy for the Gamecube yesterday... 40 pounds it cost me! Ludicrous!
Looks to be a brilliant game though :)

I bought a PAL copy for the Gamecube and it actually costs more than it does on the Wii. 45 Euro for one game is a bit much but I really wanted it. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes PAL is going for about £49.00 on eBay. I bought but didn't like it and sold it for a profit.
