I forgot that Nightwish was metal, but I really don't see how they can be considered metal in any sense. No (noticable) distortion guitar, no screaming or distorted vocals, and definitely no drugs involved. Looking at the stereotypes for metal bands, I don't see how Nightwish could be one. Maybe it's something about the lyrics?

I hate categorising music, I either like it or not.

All the stuff I listen to has been mentioned, and I also have no idea what "metal" is and how you distinguish it from something else and all the other sub-metal classes. :roll: organisation is only good if you understand the classes.. and they're universally accepted.
