The Clash

I just like it to remind me to stick it to the man.

Guilty pleasures? Hmmm... highly girly survivor songs. "I'm a Pioneer" by Tenchi Muyo... "Watch Me Shine" by Joanna Pacitti (theme to Legally Blond)... "Not Gonna Get Us" by TaTu... etc.

Mine is late 1970s-era 'disco'.

I also like a lot of pre-1980s country.

Guilty? I don't feel guilty for listening to lots craziness. Hmm...things that don't fit my usual taste then, I guess.

Seal
Coolio
MC Hammer

Most of my music is rock and electronic, which are both really broad and encompassing terms.

I can't explain to people in words how much I love them. Just thrash my head around furiously.

"The Leader" will be my election song for when the Revolution comes.

I personally think The Sex Pistols are as they are the manufactured brain child of Malcom Mclaren. Anything that involves that man involves crime (though I must say The New York Dolls are criminally wonderful).
I will state that progressive rock is a guilty pleasure. But then again I have a penchant for The Shang Gri Las and Sandie Shaw.

Malcom McLaren didn't invent the Sex Pistols, and the music was not McLaren's music at all. Johnny Lydon sets the record straight in his book titled "Rotten, No Blacks,No Irish, No Dogs". --The Music was by his band, and he was responsible for most of it.

Same. I wish more mainstream artists took influence from these.

Manowar.

Rhapsody.

Well, at least I can go to a concert and bring a bunch of like-minded people with on these two . . .

But, well, sometimes I listen to my old Rob Zombie CD "Hellbilly Deluxe". The newer one, "The Sinister Urge" was TERRIBLE, but the first two songs on the original are pretty damn good. I like Zombie on principle, but I think his art (in both mediums) is sub-par.

True. Just because someone likes the music from someone who's racist/homophobic etc. doesn't mean they are one themselves.

As I've said in another topic, those jock-rocking bands like Sevendust are a guilty pleasure of mine. I also admit to liking a few Sugababes songs.

I also like Alien Ant Farm. They were underrated, there was more to them than just a Michael Jackson cover.
