people can like what they want. i have friends who listen to metal. i have friends who listen to hip-hop. i have friends who listen to country, and i absoultely CAN'T STAND country (no offense to country fans out there)! still though, they're my friends, and i love them for who they are and not what they listen to.

please don't hate people who listen to pop. please don't discriminate people by their music tastes. they shouldn't be discriminating you either. if they are then there's something wrong here.

I do what I want.
Which ironically makes some people think I'm a conformist.
Apparently sweatclothes are "in" right now, or at least were at the end of last here.

And libertarianism is on the rise, so I've had some people speculate that I'm simply following a fad (as opposed to an ex-socialist disgusted with Marxists).

And good chocolate is currently as fad as well.

And when I got into Beanie Babies it's because I could roleplay battles with them.
I cut off the tags, yet people still assumed I collected them for collector's sake.

Etc.

Maybe I'm just a trend setter ahead of the curve.

People that are extremely anti-conformists make me laugh.

This topic reminds of the South Park episode where Stan tries to become friends with the goths. He asks them 'How do I become a nonconformist?' The goths say 'Dress how we dress and like what we like.'

There have been so many instances in my life where that one conversation has been proven true, and this is just another example.

*shakes head in semi-disbelief*
