Kevin,

you state that you still have the ability to edit, correct?

Then do this;
go to the threads that you desire to go away, click edit, erase all the text, then type; edited out, then submit.

The only thing that will remain are the words edited out. And after time goes by and new threads are submitted they will vanish to the second page. "out of sight, and out of mind."

You should be able to both not just one when You can.

I've noticed this too. My computer sometimes freaks out and somehow double posts. I've never seen a delete button at all.
