I agree. Drop those "friends". Sorry you had to go through that, Clay.

I am a very attractive woman, used to get a lot of attention and couldn't read people, so I often attracted the wrong type. Burping and farting a lot in front of them has worked. I'm a really crude person (not in public) which is a real turn-off for some guys. I was raised by a horrible woman that made sure I never "broke up" with someone because (no matter how awful they were to me) that was NOT ok and just hurting their feelings. Being myself is a natural repellent, but not to all guys. I've been married for the most part for the last 15 years so it hasn't been much of an issue. Farting in bed gets me out of sex when I'm not in the mood. I never used to do that, but I married a man I didn't realize was abusive until recently (after 7 years and having twins) and honestly, unless I'm in a confrontation with him, is the worst thing I do. I'm a good wife. It's wasted on him though.

I don't avoid anything, whether I am attractive or not - attractiveness being an entirely subjective concept - it's not what's at stake. It's men's behavior, and I wanted to say people not just men but even an aggressively seeking woman has more limits - in my experience - physical strength being one, social norms being another.
Ignorance might work in a few cases, but distance works better and then it needs no words most of the time. When it does directness a cold way works better than niceness because the men who can't take no for an answer will see you as nice. That said that's the behavior of some guys on the street who apparently think women are whores, and so the ones you have to deal with more often. Respectful smart guys are found at the library (e.g).

The best way to be sexually unattractive is to be born that way. Failing that, there are many steps that one can take.

1) Gain Weight-especially if you live in North America, Europe, or Asia where men tend to prefer a slim aesthetic. Not enough to endanger your health but enough to raise your waist-hip ratio.
2) Cut your hair short or let it get really frizzy. Don't comb your hair if you can help it or tie it back with a scrunchy that clashes with the rest of your outfit.
3) If you have naturally oily skin, allow pimples to develop.
4) Wear unatttractive clothes. If you have a large chest, wear loose-fitting t-shirts because they will really make you look fat.
5) Cap off your look with a ridiculous looking hat with floppy dog ears or something like that.
6) And never, ever wear makeup.

I was definitely born that way, Finisterra!

I don't wear makeup anyway and wouldn't even if I was attractive. I don't particularly like it.

An aunt of mine actually told me to my face that I wouldn't get a man looking the way I do. To which I replied that I don't want a man anyway (and still don't) so that was fine by me.

I was born that way too MamaFrankie and can't bring myself to wear makeup (not that it would do any good)! I do, however, know people who were conventionally attractive who stopped getting attention and it was for one of the six reasons listed above. And I forgot step 7!

7. Let time work it's magic. After about 35 or 40, most people stop looking at you, haha.

I hate having men look at me, I wear big sweaters to hide my body. At least when they talk to me the conversations aren't very long

All deez women complaining about how men give them too much attention. Girl please.... at least you're receiving attention, at least you don't have to get the nerves to strike up a conversation with a girl only to get struck down.

Yall should be lucky, consider yourself blessed.

"Y'all should be grateful to get sexually harassed for most of your life!" says the guy who hasn't been sexually harassed for most of his life.

Mmmmmhmmmm.

Bingo!

This issue can be further complicated if the woman has been a victim of sexual abuse. It can be very triggering for such a woman to have sexual comments thrown at her as she's walking down the street. I know because I lived it.
